Stained glass is a picture created from pieces of glass of different colors. There are two creation techniques: the original stained glass technique, and the "Tiffany" technique.
Original stained glass technique is the authentic creation technique. Pieces of relief Cathedral glass in various colors are used, which are inserted into prefabricated lead H-profiles. Stained glass pictures most often depict life size religious subjects.
Tiffany technique is simpler and cheaper. Smooth and thinner glass with various shades of color is used. Edges are lined with double sided adhesive copper tape, and glass pieces are put together so as to form the desired image.
Stained glass has wide possibility for fitting into windows and doors, kitchen elements, bathroom furniture, lamps and other lighting fixtures.
Stained glass prices depend on the size of the picture, the type of ornamental glass and the number of pieces of glass used.
