Tempered glass is a type of safety glass with increased strength, resistant to sudden temperature changes, and it will usually shutter in small, square pieces when broken, greatly reducing possibility for injury in case of breakage. It is being used for spaces that require safety glass, mostly in buildings. Tempered glass cannot be additionally processed by, for example, grinding or cutting, and therefore it must be cut to size or pressed to shape before the thermal tempering process.
We have recently installed a new, top of the line, Uniglass tempering furnace, which enables Staklo Commerce production facility to perform almost all types of glass processing, including tempering and processing of glass before tempering.
